Shamba Secure is a farm management tool for tracking finances, debts, livestock, and broiler production cycles. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.

Who operates this app

What information we collect

• Account information: name, phone number, and email address, used to log in and to recover a forgotten password.
• Farm records you enter: transactions, debts (including names, amounts, and optionally phone numbers of people who owe you or are owed), livestock records, and broiler lot data.
• Reminder recipients: if you add a phone number to a debt, that number is used solely to send a payment reminder SMS on the due date.

What we don't collect

This app does not collect location data, contacts, photos, or any device data beyond what's needed to keep you logged in. It does not include advertising or third-party analytics/tracking.

How your information is used

• To operate your farm's records within the app.
• To send SMS reminders (via Africa's Talking) — to your own farm's users, or to a debtor's phone number only when you've provided one for money owed to you.
• To email a password reset link when requested, to the email address on file for that account only.

Where your data is stored

All farm data is stored in a private database on [fill in: your hosting provider]. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising. Each farm's data is isolated from every other farm using this app.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your farm account exists. To request deletion of your farm's data, contact [fill in: your contact email].

Third-party services used

• Africa's Talking — used only to deliver SMS reminders; only the phone number and message text are sent to them.
